All local authorities in England with responsibility for adult social care were required to complete a Cost of Care exercise and submit this to central Government by mid-October 2022 along with a draft Market Sustainability Plan (MSP), ahead of submitting their final MSP in February 2023.
Partners in Care worked with Shropshire Council and Telford & Wrekin Council to support them in completing their Cost of Care exercises and encouraged all its members, and care providers which weren’t currently members, to actively engage with the Councils’ Cost of Care exercises to ensure that the information they provided to central Government fully reflected the cost of care delivered by care providers in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin.
